Got the IB J tickets I wanted MAD-BOG rtn. But in my panic as only one seat showing I didn’t price up BOG-MAD-LHR and have bags sent all the way to LHR.
Can I get MAD-LHR separately and somehow “calling?” and attaching last leg BOG-MAD-LHR? to avoid ADP? Thanks
There wouldn’t be any APD to pay anyway on flights to the UK.
But once a ticket has been issued it’s not possible to add new flights to it.

Er, you can add on flights, you just have to pay the change fee plus any extra taxes and Avios
The Op has nothing to lose by calling
Not once the ticket has been issued.
To add a new flight on it would be case of cancel and rebook
I know you can add on domestic connections to long-haul BA redemptions from the UK (unless you get a supremely unhelpful agent) but maybe IB has a different policy, or it’s not the same with international flights?
I think you’d need availability on BOG-MAD still to be able to do it but worth a call
If it is on 241 voucher then they’ll cancel and rebook, so there is a risk that BOG-MAD does not go back into award inventory.

It is. I will leave it and notch it down to experience. Thank you all.
I believe the statements about not being able to add the leg without cancelling are probably not right.
Today I added MAD-LHR to an existing MAD-SJO SJO-MAD booking on a 241, without the need to cancel and rebook. Similar to what @e14 said, we had to pay a negligible amount in increase in tax plus (half) the Avios of the flight MAD-LHR. However, we had to pay the change fees (but they waived the service fees when I insisted that MAD-SJO SJO-LHR cannot be booked online with a 241. So the final cost was 22,250 Avios and £126 for two in CE.
The booking reference stays the same, but the ticket will be re-issued.
Note that this was all done via Twitter (except they called for the final payment). A previous attempt via a call to BA was unsuccessful as they quoted £1800,- for the change in fees etc.
@zapato1060 I would suggest that you try to add the leg despite what the others said.
