Hi all, I’ve got about 200k IHG points and I’m looking at staying in Miami between 31st January – 4th February.
I’ve registered for all the offers over the last few months, but I’ve never booked via IHG before and getting a bit baffled by all the different options.
We are looking to stay Downtown or near Brickell, and wondered if there is a Guru that can offer some advice as to what might be the best value/use of my points given all the offers that IHG have please?
Not sure what you mean by offers – these generally apply to cash stays. If you’re using points he best value is sometimes said to be to use them where you can get over 0.4p value but you might prefer staying somewhere you’d really like, so maybe splurge all the points on a couple of nights somewhere fabulous? Points prices are a bit crazy at the moment though I haven’t specifically checked the dates you are looking to stay, so you might want to hang on to them and pay cash just now.
Just had a quick look and the IC is 49k points pn on your dates, which would cover your 4 nights, is pretty good value and in the area you want to stay. I had to cancel a stay there last year and it looked pretty nice!
Thank you Northernlass, that’s exactly the advice I needed.
Anyone with thoughts on the IC Miami? I too cancelled a stay in 2020 but was considering a 3 for 2 there this Easter via Emyr.
Kimpton Palomar South Beach would be my recommendation

Thanks for the tip. Will take a look, but doesn’t seem to be included on the 3 for 2 list.
What’s the 3 for 2 list?

Stayed at IC Miami start of December and was not impressed, little upgrade with AMB status and rooms are a bit tired, no balconies, cold breakfast, noisy room next door at night.
Also stayed at Kimpton Epic and Kimpton Surfcomber, both excellent although different styles of hotel.
Crowne Plaza at Brickell is good I think and there is a free downtown metromover train for getting around easily.
Thanks RonnieB, was about to book the IC but will look at the Crowne Plaza instead.
