Hi,
I currently have the free Amex BA card but as we will be looking to book flights relatively soon for next year, want to maximise value by upgrading to the premium plus card. Issue is that I already have a companion voucher valid until March 23′ and only for economy flights. I’ve therefore got my partner to set up a PP account so we will start using that from now on to get relevant sign up bonuses and get to the £10k spend for companion voucher as quickly as possible.
My question is once she does receive the voucher, if we were to then create a household account for the two of us (in order to use my points), will we still be able to use her PP voucher or would it default back to my economy voucher – or do both stay available and it is up to us which we select whilst being able to use all of the points both of us have earned pro-rata?
Thanks
You’ll be able to select whichever voucher you want to use, from the account of the person who earned it, which is where it will show even if you have a HHA. The system will take avios pro rata from each account for the booking, so you shouldn’t have any issues. So – once your partner has earned the voucher, log in to her account and make the booking from there.
Nice one, thanks @NorthernLass!
