Hoping you can help shed some light on the best way to utilise these vouchers for a trip from London to Orlando in May 2026 – any advice or experience would be very much appreciated.
I currently have the following vouchers to use:
1) AMEX Companion Travel Voucher – expiring September 2026
2) Barclays Cabin Upgrade Voucher – expiring September 2026
3) Barclays Cabin Upgrade Voucher – expiring September 2027 (I’m now eligible for this but haven’t claimed it within my Barclays account)
Looking to travel with the following people:
1) Adult 1 (Myself)
2) Adult 2 (Husband)
3) Child 1 (4 Years Old)
4) Child 2 (Under 2 Years Old)
Advice please on the following:
1) Best combination to use the vouchers above, on the ones that I’ve claimed so far (Voucher 1 + 2)?
2) As I won’t be looking to travel anymore in 2026 I’m happy to use all 2 vouchers or even the 3rd voucher all at once for the best possible combination with any cabin type. Ideally in the same cabin type for all four of us but happy to do different cabin types for the journey too.
3) Should I claim the 3rd voucher?
Thanks so much for all your help.
Just to ensure that you’re aware that you can’t combine these vouchers on the same booking so you’d have two separate ones.
Given your family make up and assuming you want child 2 to have a seat of their own rather than be on one of the adults laps you’d need to book it as
You and one child on the 2-4-1 booking
Hubby and t’other child booked using the Barclays

Thanks for the advice above. Noted on the separate booking, quick questions below please:
1) Based on the scenario above that you have given, does that mean I would need to claim the 3rd voucher?
2) Fully noted on the separate booking, if doing this online on two separate booking, should I then call up British Airways to link the two separate bookings together?
3) From the scenario above that you have given, I
Would it be best to go for which cabin type?
Thanks so much again. Really appreciate this.
I think the youngest child would need to be added as an infant to one of the bookings so you wouldn’t need the 2nd Barclays voucher. I don’t think BA will sell you a separate seat for them until they turn 2.

You can book for an infant to have their own seat, just not at the infant price, but instead the applicable child cash or Avios price.
