Dear all,
New to the forum and hoping to contribute positively. Sorry to start with a negative post. I’ve had nothing but trouble with the Avios Plus card and would appreciate advice on how to best escalate and resolve. Here goes:
1) I signed up during the 50k offer period. Yet 25k is the target shown.
2) Despite spending over £4,500 on the card, I am missing over 1600 points (a few days in May and half of June). I was also missing most of July but a load of Avios points appeared spread over only two days. Now seems to be accumulating again normally.
3) I’ve used the chat, called customer services three times and have raised a complaint, with a reference number confirmed via the post. Calling the complaints line has not yet worked as I’ve spent hours on hold. I’m tired of being fobbed off by Barclaycard “customer services” telling me to call the BA exec club! How does BA know what Avios points should be accrued on my Barclaycard!?
What should I do next?
Current plan is to continue to call the complaints line while spending £20 a month while I wait for this to be eventually (maybe?) resolved.
Or should I just wait for the Avios spend in the app to hit £3k and hope to get the £25k bonus transferred to BAEC and then cancel the card? The time wasted has been considerable.
It would also be helpful to know in the reviews of the Barclaycard Avios cards on this site that it seems to be impossible to use it with Android Pay (please correct me if I’m wrong on this).

I had similar issues , I applied in May under the 50k offer , spent nearly 8k in 1 month , no points posted at all in July trackers showed 0 , bonus 0, pending points 0 , points earned 0 … called numerous times to BC , service terrible

Hi my wife opened her account at the same time and had no issues after emailing the ceo (make sure it’s MH not CSV you email ) there exec team found the problem with my account and resolved it …
They will sort it , however customers shouldn’t have to email up the chain to get things resolved …

Any update beyond acknowledgement? Have recently done the same as Barclaycard CS is about as useless as a chocolate teapot.
CS kept telling me to check back in with them after 3-4 working days on a query that had be logged on my account, that was the same response I got back for well over a month, useless bunch.
Email MH his ceo exec office team will get the issues resolved. I had the same issues as highlighted above – after 10 days his team had the issues sorted and the points all transferred over on the second working day as advertised
@Prof_j you cannot use BarclayCard at all on
Android Pay. Some Barclaycard (visa only, so not the Avios MasterCard cards) can be used via the Barclaycard App on Android.
On the other hand BarclayCard supported Apple Pay almost for the launch in UK.
Sorry for my slow reply. Just to confirm that within just over a week someone from Executive Complaints followed up to make sure my points were sorted out. Great Avios scheme in theory, but the customer service is at the other end of the scale! The lack of Android Pay support is a shame too…
