Hi,
Will be taking a flight from Dublin to Orlando next week, and I was wondering what kind of setup they might have? Is it a specific 2 slot IFE or is it more general?
I’d be wanting to only take Airpods / wireless headphones so wondering what is available that’ll definitely work for Aer Lingus’ new IFE systems.
Alternatively, if I was to take a wired headphone (USB / 3.5mm jack input) what would be the solution to that?
It is a three pin headphone socket in the J cabin. The third pin being a power supply for the noise cancelling function. Connecting a 2 pin jack works fine, as does an Airfly. I can’t speak for the Y cabin.
This’ll be in Economy. On some research since posting, some planes have 1 input, others are 2 (older models). All seem to use 3.5mm jack as input however.
Does AirFly adapter (£40 or so on Amazon) work well as they say, or is it a bit of hit and miss?
Airfly has worked well for me, no issues so far
How’s the audio delay? I read that to be the biggest issue with something like this, audio being out of sync which can get annoying after a while.
