Hi all
I took a flight to Dublin recently and when asked for my frequent flyer number I entered my BA Avios number – foolishly thinking the Avios would just automatically come across as they are a code share Airline.
It’s been four weeks now and nothing so I’m wondering if I messed up. I only have confirmation of booking on my phone but I saw the claim for missing Avios form requires boarding pass and baggage tags as well that need to be physically posted. I don’t have these as I did everything online and can seem to only access the receipt of the flight on the mobile app.
Wondering if there is a simple way to claim the Avios for the flight?
Here’s your issue I think – your ticket doesn’t qualify. The cheapest Aer Lingus ticket classes don’t count to earn with BA.
You can, however, retroclaim to earn Avios in AerClub. It doesn’t matter that you had BA on your boarding pass, as I found out myself last year. You won’t need the boarding pass etc.
