Time to jump on the Jordanian status offer to get BA Status before she sails?

Anyone know if the BA status gained from this offer will carry over past April 2025? If my BAEC membership year is to November, will the status gained now take me trough to Nov 2026?

You’ll get RJ status, not BA. It has nothing to do with BAEC.

It lasts 1 year from approval.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Is it correct to assume it’s better to make new BA avios bookings once you have the RJ status? As at the booking stage you would enter your RJ details to make the booking eligible for RJ status benefits as they translate onto, in my case, bronze?

No. You change the FF number to the RJ one after you make the booking.

Can this be done on an Avios booking using 241s? ie FF number changed? the 241s weren’t in my name, but assume if I add my (yet to be obtained) Jordanian number, the benefits might flow through?

My BA bronze expired and my IHG silver drops tomorrow too… not sure if I’ve left this TOO late
Waiting for the Avolta/Radisson match to come through as backup

Ask the Twitter (x) team to add your RJ number, they won’t replace the BAEC number if it’s a 2-4-1 avios booking. You will then get the T-7days bronze equivalent allowing you to choose seats.

Anyone successfully bought the status twice? (for a second year after the first year expires)

Original purchasers will have expired now (mine has), but it’s a few months until I’ll consider it again.

P2 sign up is an option if it doesn’t work twice.
