Alaska Avios Availability on BA

I’d like to book a US domestic flight on Alaska using Avios. The ideal day I’m looking at has open reward availability with Alaska, but nothing on BA. Cash prices are very high with no obvious reason.

Does anyone know whether Alaska drip feeds rewards to partners across the year or is the initial allocation fixed?
