Forums Hotel loyalty schemes IHG One Rewards Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night voucher no longer working at Kimptons?

Trying to use my voucher at either the Kimpton London or Manchester (for a Friday/Saturday in this instance) and it says there is no availability. Click on the Search Available Dates option and there is nothing on any date. Only the London Intercontinentals are showing availability.

Is this a temporary glitch do we reckon, or have Kimptons been removed from Ambassador Complimentary Weekend Night usage?

To answer myself, the following in the terms and conditions makes clear that Kimpton and Regent hotels are only available using the voucher until the end of the current year, which I hadn’t appreciated:

“Complimentary Weekend Night benefit applicable at participating Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Regent Hotels & Resorts until 31 December 2022.”

Someone with clearer thinking than I am capable of could possibly explain why IHG have declined to maintain the extension of the voucher to Kimpton and Regent. To my mind, their inclusion helped sweeten the Ambassador sign-up proposition. Especially for those of us nowhere near an Intercontinental

I agree. I can see why they would remove weekday availability at Kimpton / Regent but there is value keeping it for weekends.

Really hope they extend that benefit to next year.

It would be good, but this is IHG so they probably haven’t even realised it’s now expired beyond 31/12! We got excellent use of 3 Ambassador free nights on at Kimptons (including week nights) on UK stays during the pandemic while foreign travel was either banned or extremely difficult!
