Last month we took biz to hkg with ba and back in buis on cathay.
BA had to ask for amenity packs and it was the same white company pleather affair its been for ever, contents were meh and everything has been recycled to a local charity on our return as we have a few of those bags already. Oddly a colleague mentioned today they go for a few quid on vinted but i really cant be bothered with the faff.
Cathay the bag was waiting in the little cubby hole on boarding and its a rather jazzy bamford bag the contents were good but oddly no pen, im now using the bag for some connectors for my work laptop.
I miss the virgin herschel upper bags, i have three, which ive had for years, and they are still used often, one has a set of clippers in it, the new virgin upper kits, despite claiming to be environmentally friendly, after the contents have been donated, have ended up im the bin, unlike the non-environmentally friendly herschel bags.
I have a couple of long haul biz flights on qatar coming up at the end of the year so i will be interested in their amenity bags.
F pajamas, slippers and kits make great Xmas presents! Always ask for extra if available.
Okay so now we solved this easy one, what about headphones from F?
@cin3 I think they still have the Bowers & Wilkins ones – personally I prefer Bose. Alas they might be less than happy if you take these with you. Virgin Upper used to have “Orville and Wilbur” salt/pepper shakers in the shape of airplanes, with “Stolen from Virgin” on the bottom. People were encouraged to take them even before “viral marketing” was a thing.
The menu is always a good souvenir, as is a photo in the cockpit sitting in the Captain’s seat (and wearing his hat)
ANA have no issue with you taking the F headphones (and I should hope not).
Once with my previous airline one of the charter outfits went U/S on the ramp at BGI. We had to take 60 or so of their pax back to LGW. At the end of the flight when some of the cabin crew were standing by the door to say goodbye, they could see many passengers leaving, each clutching one of Virgin’s small red economy blankets. One male flight attendant was heard to say, in a very camp way, ” Ooh, you can smell the charter from here!”
I prefer the QR kit, although BA eye mask is good and have kept a few of them.
I noticed BA are slightly changing/changed the kits for 2024 with no pen!

Oooh, suits you sir! (I love all flight crew BTW, they do an amazing and often thankless job)
