Amex and balance transfers

I have the BAPP card with a rather high balance , I wish to keep the card .

I’ve got a new Barclaycard with no fee balance transfer promo with no interest , if I move my Amex Balance over to barclaycard Amex won’t close the account after will they ?

I was planning to still use the BAPP and keep transferring the balance over to Barclaycard until the no fee offer stops

Is this feasible Will Amex /Barclaycard allow this

Amex won’t close the card if you do a balance transfer. It’s more or less just like a normal payment to the card.
Some cards don’t allow doing a balance transfer with Amex though. Mostly because the system doesn’t handle the shorter card number. Sometimes they will do it over the phone if they can. I’m not sure about Barclaycard but I’d expect them to support Amex.
