    I’ve had the same issue, same outcome (ie escalated, could take 90 days, keep checking back).

    The agent accepted I had hit the target and accepted that should have received the 85,000 (referral) bonus. I asked if I’d have the same problem in months 14 – 17 for the additional 40,000 bonus but she was adamant that the 40k bonus isn’t a thing, so I wouldn’t get it!

    I even sent them a screenshot of the offer, so it’s been escalated (again) but although I accept sometimes their systems don’t track applications correctly (although the referrer received their bonus), I can’t believe they don’t keep records of the promotions they run?

    Surely they have a list of the main signup bonuses to refer to, ie start/end date, threshold target and bonus points?

    If they can’t honour the second year bonus, I’ll have to cancel before year end and re-apply – a colossal waste of time for everyone (and money for Amex). 🙁

    Given the points haven’t posted automatically (I’m in same boat) I’d plan that the additional bonus won’t post automatically either.

    Frustrating thing is Amex attitude to the issue. Wait 3 months (so August for me) and if still not posted we’ll do something about it then.

    Agents have the ability to add points on chat or over phone so I’m not sure why they don’t manually just add the points to our affected accounts. If you were planning booking a redemption with the points, you’re currently being penalised through no fault of your own.

    Just to mirror the position of many above. I passed the £6k required spend on the Business Gold on 18th June and still now received my bonus yet. Will contact/prompt amex today but would have expected it to post by now!

    Finally got mine credited manually tomorrow (transaction states goodwill so assume it’s from the repeated contact). Did chat about a week ago, referred to secondary team, nothing happened. Did chat again yesterday and made it clear that I wanted them crediting yesterday and was told to allow 10 days from first contact but they’d chase up for me. Seems to have been effective.

    I’m in a similar position with the personal Amex Platinum with their recent 100,000 point offer. I have just created a separate thread on this forum.

    To summarise, was told before I signed up I’d be eligible (as last MR card that i cancelled was in 2022, which tied with my own records).

    Now being told i’m ineligible! Currently preparing a complaint to head office.

    I’m in a similar position with the personal Amex Platinum with their recent 100,000 point offer. I have just created a separate thread on this forum.

    To summarise, was told before I signed up I’d be eligible (as last MR card that i cancelled was in 2022, which tied with my own records).

    Now being told i’m ineligible! Currently preparing a complaint to head office.

    Hopefully you have the initial confirmation of eligibility in writing.

    If you count a screenshot of the live chat of the agent confirming I was eligible for the SUB prior to signing up as ‘in writing’.
    The chat is also still in my app.
    If you are referring to an actual letter, then no.

    I’ve never known of written or any other confirmation of SUB eligibility, just on-screen confirmation of acceptance for the actual cards. That’s why it’s so crucial to keep one’s own records, especially in recent times when Amex CS has really gone to the dogs.

    Even if the chat agent tells you something, Amex often just says “Oh, they were wrong, have 5k points for the inconvenience.”

    The only other record would be the approval email for the last MR Amex (Gold Rewards Card) held in my name which was dated 10 July 21. This would have been cancelled within a year as I wouldn’t have paid the 2nd year card fee. So that’s clearly a period greater than 24 months.

    I have no MR card approval emails since this date and I certainly wouldn’t have deleted any. But beyond that no other record unfortunately.

    It is becoming more and more important to keep the actual physical cancellation letters Amex sends…
    At least keep them digitally in your “wasting my time with Amex” folder

    This means, for example:

    if you have or recently had Business Gold, you can apply for Business Platinum and receive the bonus

    Called Amex. The agent confirmed our eligibility both for SUB and referral. Promised to escalate and “leave it with him”.

    How is everyone else wait going?

    I hit the £6,000 Spend target for the Gold Business Card on the 18th June. No Welcome Bonus to be seen.

    Called CS about 2 weeks later and they confirmed I did hit the Spend Target in the time required and that the Welcome Bonus is being processed, but that this can take up to 30 days.

    Still nothing. Appreciate it has not been 30 days but does it normally take this long? I will obviously wait the 30 days before making contact again but was just curious how everyone else is doing?

    Made the spend. Agent confirmed eligibility but had to refer. 10 days later had to refer to another team. Now told could be 90 days!

    My platinum business sign up bonus came through on the three month anniversary of signing up. I did do a couple of online chats- not sure if that made a difference

    Mine hasn’t, and two calls to CS, both promising a resolution, haven’t made it materialise. I’m giving it till close of play today then will follow up with one more call.

    Something similar here. Signed up 3 weeks ago for Business Plat via referral for 80,000 points. Back and forth as they wanted more info of my business share spit etc. Application got cancelled twice without warning but was reinstated straight away with a phone call which I specifically asked if it would effect my referral sign up bonus, was told should be fine.

    Card arrived and brother-in-laws referral points landed in his account.

    I struggled adding it to my account so rang up, got sorted but I checked again to confirm my 80,000 sign up bonus which I was told no he couldn’t see it on my account.

    Have sent screenshots of the referral offer and the points in my brother-in-laws account, complaint made and now waiting 15 business days to see the out come.

    Becoming very sloppy of late, never had so many issues in the past.

    Appreciate this is an update no-one asked for by my 40,000 Point sign-up bonus was paid on the 29th July. I hit the spend target on the 18th June. I also got a call from Amex after I complained. I was originally told my bonus would be with me on the 18th July and it wasn’t. They offered me an additional 20,000 Points as a good will gesture which was very much appreciated.

    Seems it is just a long process and with Multi-bonus offers like it seems to take their system a long time to process.

    3. And in addition, none of these cards affect my eligibility for a Personal Gold/Plat?
