Amex email in the dead of the night – PRGC annual fee going up from £160 to £195. No apparent improvement in benefits.

The benefits of the price rise largely accrue to other people. The £35 price increase for Gold and £75 for Platinum are your contribution towards paying for enhanced SUBs and retentions.

Where are you getting this info? With prices rising across the board, isn’t it equally likely they’re adjusting with inflation / service provider contracts (call centres, Priority Pass etc) increasing?

This comment certainly isn’t factual, it’s just a personal point of view.
I was actually sent this information by snail mail, although I already knew from on here. Maybe the increase reflects the postage, rather than the SUBs. Surely it’s far more likely to be due to the general cost of living increases across the board.

…or just sheer greed from Amex.
