Q: refundable hotel booking made with the £200 credit made. I hope now to cancel, and make same booking at non-refundable rates as dates now locked in. What’s best strategy and what happens to the £200 already refunded? Hope to rebook asap after cancelling due to availability issues. Is it a matter of cancelling, and pinging Amex with a heads-up that have adjusted the booking, so please don’t begin a claw-back process? Or is that even necessary? Grateful for comments, thanks.
