Amex refer a friend when friend gets a different card

Amex referral rules.

I have the BA card.

If you refer a friend will you get the referral bonus if your friend signs up to any card with a referral offer not just the card you have?

Eg if they sign up for the standard memebrhsip rewards card or even the cashback card instead of the BA card will I get my bonus for referring them?
