Amex refusing to move credit allocation between cards

I have the BA Premium Amex, the Platinum Cashback, and The Platinum Card. Have a total of £40k credit limit between them. Always pay on time etc.

Platinum Card is the newest card and it has a miserly £3k limit which I can easily reach. I requested that amex move some of the credit limit allocation off my other cards onto the Platinum Card but was “refused due to “overall financial situation”.

Has anyone else had this?

Call during Brighton hours.
How many days since receiving the plat? The systems take time to allow changes.
I usually have the opposite problem. Need to wait a few days before I can reduce the limit.
