Has anyone booked hotel stay using AMEX travel portal recently, especially FHR prepaid. I booked a stay for Christmas to take advantage of AMEX travel 300-75 offer. The transaction appeared as pending and I also received email confirmed that I have used my offer. However the transaction never confirmed and has disappeared from pending.
Do AMEX travel really charge immediately after booking or wait till close to the stay? My concern is offer will run out at 20th Dec which is a week earlier than my stay.
Happened to me once. Pending showed, then disappeared. After about 8 days it showed as processed with the original transaction date.
