On the Amex website there’s something I’ve never seen before – “Amex Value Fares”. It says “Select routes, travel dates, exclusions and Terms apply”, but there’s no link to anything and no further details. Anyone seen anything explained anywhere?

Amex Value Fares
Eligible Cardmembers can access savings on Amex Value Fares when booking with Air Europa, Emirates, Etihad Airways, jetBlue, Virgin Atlantic and Delta. Look out for Member Week offers when searching for flights on Amex Travel Online.
Select routes, travel dates, exclusions and Terms apply.
Just looked at booking on the new Virgin route to Dubai, out Tuesday back Friday, business (Z).
The “flex” price on Virgin was less than the non-refundable on Amex travel. Very disappointing.
