Any preferred treatment if BA Gold on Qatar?

Hi – would a BA Gold member, flying with Qatar to Doha from LHR-T4 (in an economy cabin) afford one any preferential treatment?

You get loyalty lounge access at LHR T4, not the QR premium lounge. You can use premium check in counters too. Don’t know about enhanced baggage allowances

There is a dedicated lounge for BA Gold / oneworld Emerald in Doha, as you can’t use the Al Mourjan business class lounges due to their opt-out from oneworld rules.

im a gold ba member and have flown 6 round trip flights with QR this year in economy , all cash, 3 booked on QR website and 3 on the BA under BA flight numbers.

on all flights the cabin manager introduced themselves , all flights I was asked my preferred meal choice soon after boarding. 4 of the flights I had the seat next to me empty even on busy flights, whether this was luck or status I don’t know . maybe 2 or 3 flights I was given a bottle of water.

terminal 4 there is a check in desk for elite members, also you use the status member lounge too , left for status members , right for business class customers.

at DOH you can’t get into the business lounge however you have access to the gold and plat lounge , one lounge is very big, might be c gates, the others are small….

never been upgraded even when I had paid for a full Y class ticket as a gold and it was overbooked.

I got upgraded from Y to J on Qatar , and then again on the return sector. Both flights overbooked right enough, and I’m only a Silver.

There’s actually two “Gold And Platinum” lounges for One World Sapphire and Emerald flying economy thru Doha . The C gates one is much bigger than the A gates one. It’s access is up an escalator behind the Oreo store at 11 o clock.
