Forums Hotel loyalty schemes Hilton Honors Any recent experience of Waldorf Hilton (London) / Exec. lounge?

Hesitating between our usual Bankside or trying the Waldorf, as a decent
price has just appeared for an exec. room.

Most recent reviews seem to be along the lines of “not what it was…cream tea stopped…” etc.!

It was overcrowded the last tme we were there, with suggestions from staff to get down there early. This was correct, as it quickly gets to the point there is nowhere to sit.

Cheers, Rob – think we’ll stick to tried & trusted Bankside for this one, as we’re going to the Old Vic in the evening.

Not been at Waldorf Hilton, but seems its priced similarly to Conrad St James – would generally suggest giving that a go, I found it to be a great property for London standards.

We loved the Conrad St James, and the lounge there; The highlight being when the waiter topping everyone’s glasses with Prosecco came round to apologise that they’d run out of Prosecco and if champagne would be OK instead?

    First world problems eh 😉

@dan_a_man @spellman Yes, totally agree – we did the Conrad on another occasion and loved it: this coming w/end is mostly location-based!

This reminded me of the CCR on our first visit; an American lady asked for Prosecco at the bar – the barman looked utterly appalled and replied, “Madam, we don’t serve Prosecco, only Champagne.”
