I still have a hefty FTV (SFO CW, legacy 241) that hasn’t been refunded. I assume it won’t be now, so does anyone know what the process is for getting the redemption? I know it’s a ring up for several hours jobbie but does there need to be availability in CW?
Yes, needs to be Avios availability on the flights you want to book
You’ll need to select the Avios / change booking options, I’ve got through quickly last couple of times I’ve called
Be aware when you call they may try to refund you. As someone on here kindly advised, don’t accept, they can book a 241 provided Avios availability. I had to push hard to get my booking.
+1 – you may get an expired 241 back! You might have to pay extra surcharges though as these have gone up a couple of times during the pandemic.
Yes +2 – the last FTV I had she just refunded on the phone and told me to book what I wanted myself , which was fine as there wasn’t any voucher involved but you wouldn’t want to do this !
