    Hello all,

I recently opened a platinum card so I have the free £150 dining local and overseas. My friend has gone to Austria and will definitely attend one of the restaurants within the overseas offer, what happens if I get him to add my platinum to his iphone to do that transaction only so the offer doesnt going to waste?

Will that be flagged by Amex?

Normal fraud flags surely apply? If you’re doing your weekly shop in the UK one minute and buying dinner overseas the next the transaction should get flagged by the fraud team.

Is it worth the risk for £150 of reward? Probably slightly less once the overseas transaction fees have been accounted for?

I wouldn’t be using the card that day for sure 🙂

I wouldn’t be gaining anything from it, just not wanting to waste the benefit but what would be the risk?

@fedemenni Fraud checks blocking your card then Amex accusing you of gaming the system and subsequently closing your account.
