Has anyone had any issues with applying for the plus card?
I applied last Tuesday and got the splash page that a few more checks needs to be done and that I will hear something back within 5 working days. Those have come and gone and I’ve heard nothing, and when calling Barclays they don’t have a dedicated team to check applications.
I was done with identity fraud a number of weeks ago and I have a Cifas on my credit file now, which is likely stopping me from getting instant approvals, but Barclays don’t seem to have access so see applications
Loads of issues – if you have a look at the dedicated threads there are plenty of examples of people having these difficulties and how they were resolved.
I applied in March, received the same splash page, and was finally approved around the 8th May, after chasing the application up via Ron’s contacts. I am sure they will now fail to credit me with the extra 5000 Avios I’m entitled to for applying during the HFP promo.
