Abu Dhabi hotels – Hilton or InterCon?

Looking at both the Hilton on Yas island or the Inter continental back end of town

Anyone got any views/experience of either? Will be using points for whichever we decide.

I ended up booking the WB Curio on Yas Island for August, but I have a 4 year old, so that influenced my choice. Plus the Curio was 60k pn vs the Hilton at 70k.

We’ve been to hilton yas island in a family suite. Underwhelming, but quite pleasant to look at.
Crowne Plaza Yas Island was much more friendly and club lounge offerings better. The pool next door at staybridge suites is good for swimming lengths and empty.

What are you planning on doing ?

IC is AED 95 from the airport
Yas Island is AED 50 from the airport

IC residences was very good. It uses some facilities of the IC and is run by same management.
But if you’ll be focusing on Yas island attractions, you’ll be better off staying there.

+1 on this. If you’re just overnighting between flights that’s one thing. If you’re there for a sun and sea/pool holiday, quite a different set of options
