Has anyone developed anything for finding seat availability with Iberia?

Looking to book Mad – Mia & then Mia Man via Mad as against via LHR. BA is stupid for fees.

    Roughly this time next year.

Or is it just a case of wading through all the dates?

Also, is there a trick for booking the inbound & outbound separately, or doesn’t this matter?

Read Rob’s annual article & can’t see anything for Iberia just BA

    TIA

Use the avios app and has availability by economy, premium and business – also iberia app is quite useful for this. Website not so good in my opinion.

Does the app show better availability than the website or just easier to search ? I was searching for a similar route not too long ago to get an idea of routes and prices but I couldn’t seem to find more than two business seats on any flight. is that an Iberia limitation ?

There are quite a few articles and threads on using the 241 on IB. The very long “booking the return at T-355” thread has a lot of posts about IB, but I don’t think there’s a way to search for them specifically so you might have to wade through the whole thing.

I don’t know how much demand there will be on your travel dates, but the main issue will be that IB releases the seats at T-360 but they won’t show on ba.com until T-355 so you’ll need to call and ask the agent to book for them for you.

You can add the MAN leg on the return later if it’s not been released when you book, however IB seem to play very fast and loose with flight times – all my MAN-MAD bookings for this year have been moved to 8 hours later than the original departures!!

I find it easier as can see a whole year, depends where you’re flying to as can release lots of extra seats in business three to four weeks before departure.

You can call 360 days out and get the outbound using Avios and 241. You cannot wait around as MAD-MIA vice versa very popular even if two flights per day. You book outbound, then wait to buy inbound.

IB app indeed is very useful. Just checked and loads of availability even 354 days out. Note that the IB have to be booked on BA to use the 241.

Worked perfectly to show MAD – XXX destinations in South America. Then call up if you’re booking an open jaw MAD-XXX XXX-MAD-MAN with a voucher.

There’s no charge as it can’t be booked online.

Just checked MAD-MIA and it’s showing the IB results up to 1/1/26 whereas those flights can’t be booked online with BA yet.

I’ve found the Avios app is good for showing availability on Iberia from Madrid.
