Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

    Does anyone else have experience of not receiving Avios after booking with Hotels.com?
    I’ve booked for years via Exec club shopping app and then through to Hotels.com
    Until January this year my Avios were slow but did eventually arrive. Since Jan I’ve had zero despite multiple nights booking every month. Both BA and Hotels.com say to contact the other and I am getting nowhere. I’m owed about 30,000 Avios.

    There have been substantial issues with Expedia and Hotels.com paying third party customers.

    We have, literally today, had a big back-payment from Hotels.com for affiliate sales. I suspect the eStore will have been paid as well so you may see progress soon.

    Thanks Rob, I hope you’re right. I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to speak to someone at Hotels.com they simply do not accept that it’s their issue. One guy even told me they have no tie in with Avios. Im owed about 25k Avios so it’s significant. I’ve always like the rewards programme with Hotels.com but I think I need to come up with an alternative strategy. However, I stay in towns with no chain hotels rather often so not sure which programme to opt for.
