Hello,
Does anyone have any experience in the Avios points being credited when making a Hilton Hotels booking via the Avios App?
I’m currently on a 100% failure rate at the moment, and always end up getting an email 11 months after booking saying:
“Thank you for recently shopping with Hilton through British Airways.
Hilton has informed us that your purchase (Purchase ID 2672*****) is not eligible to earn Avios and therefore the status of this purchase has been updated to cancelled. We are sorry for any disappointment this may cause.”
I paid in full, made the bookings directly from the browser/page loaded after I clicked on the “Shop Now” button, didn’t make the bookings via the app, never cancelled or had my stays refunded etc…
The only thing I can think of is that I logged into my Hilton honors account before making the booking. But surely I shouldn’t be punished for wanting to link the bookings to my honors account, right?
Not had a single Hilton stay marked as completed/awarded the points to date.
Had similar experience with Hilton bookings.
A few small stays that didn’t track but followed up and appealed a 5 figure Avios potential. Rejected again last week after pending since last Sept.
Better off using other portals next time.
I still have just under 1000 pending for a Hilton stay last October which I’ve written off as a lost cause, I won’t book Hiltons cus the BA e store any more
I have used it many times both before Covid, and then when it came back last year or so.
Historically it never paid out, but have had a few tranches of bookings come through a couple of times in one go many months (or even years) after the bookings were complete.
Has anyone ever gone through nectar’s portal onto Hilton to get points, I know its a lower earning rate 4 nectar points (so 2.5 avios) per £1
None of my Hilton Stays have paid out either, but will try it next time I book with them
It worked for me in approximately 2018 and 2023 but not in between those years
…

I’m not au fait with HH but surely you can add your HH number to the booking after you’ve made it without logging in to make it?
Also usual caveats apply – clear cookies, use separate browser to your usual one wben making the actual booking.

I did all of that too – and my hilton hasn’t tracked. I agree with the don’t bother sentiment. Be good to know if Nectar works?
