Forgive the rather wordy title!
Signed up for Avios rewards account and credit card during the last offer period. All went okay and decent credit limit provided at the outset.
The actual card wasn’t received until late December due to mail strikes, thus in short my window/clock to meet the £3k spend to get the offer bonus is 2 months as opposed to 3.
Barclaycard can see the date I activated the card but are refusing to budge on extending the spend window; wondering if anyone else has a similar issue or a suggestion/advice? Have some payments due early March which would easily get me over that figure.
Can you overpay on some bills using the card (cash flow permitting) to get to the trigger more quickly? Octopus energy for example allows overpayments of energy bills on credit card through their site (if you happen to be with them).
I believe the T’s and C’s state it starts from the date of application or card despatch date.
Can you not bring the March payments forwards?
Otherwise, pay your council tax up front for the year. I’ve just done this to trigger an Amex companion voucher (your council may not take Amex but they probably take MC).
