Avios total discrepancy in promotional emails vs what ba.com shows!

The last three promotional emails I’ve received from BAEC have all quoted an increasingly larger number of Avios than exists in my ‘actual’ account viewed in the app/online etc. I’m referring to the footer section of the emails, which quotes status level, Avios and tier points. Until now, the promotional emails always slightly lagged behind the actual ‘real’ amount, but now the variances are getting further apart and increasing with each email received! I cannot reconcile the variances at all and wondered if anyone else has spotted this issue before I contact BA about it? Thanks.

On the BAEC app, since the Nov shutdown, I now see my household Avios rather than just my own and I am seeing my wife’s and my son’s Avios credits as they earn them. The BA app itself just has my own! Might that explain the discrepancy?
Thanks JDB, but I don’t think so, because I don’t have a household account. It’s about 2,000 more showing in the emsils, so not an insignificant amount!
I have a similar problem, linked with my birthday! On my birthday (in December), I opened the BAEC app and saw a fanfare pop-up window congratulating me for collecting a birthday bonus of 1144 avios. But the avios have never shown up in the account, not on the website, the BA app nor the BAEC app. The only place the extra 1144 avios are shown is in the footer of the BA marketing emails…the total shown there is exactly 1144 more than logging into BAEC shows me. And it’s been like that for weeks now…

Do you have ‘pending’ points for shopping purchases? Sometimes the eStore pays you immediately but until the 28 days refund period is up the points are not ‘firm’. Are the emails somehow not including ‘unconfirmed’ Avios?
Bulbous, I don’t recall getting any Avios for my birthday (slightly envious!) but how interesting that we’re seeing a discrepancy in the same place.
Rob, I do have pending points from the e-store but can’t reconcile those to the variance amount. It’s all very odd, and I can only put it down to some post-November update bug.
