Avios earning on BA flights

Hi all,

Booked flights to Dubai for December (cash booking)

Me, wife and 2 children (who are all added to my BA household account, although my daughter was added AFTER I booked the flights).

I’m basic BA blue member – is the earning Avios earning rate as simple as 6 x the total cost of our flights, or is it multiplied by a specific portion of each ticket.

Assuming all are Blue members, each passenger gets 6 x the fare plus BA surcharges, not the total cost. Fare details are shown on the e-ticket receipt.

It should tell you in MMB the expected earnings for a straight cash booking, and it doesn’t matter when people are added to the HHA, they still earn their Avios regardless provided their BAC numbers are on the booking.
