My parents are about to take a month long trip across 3 continents and I want to buy travel health insurance. Any recommendations in terms of policies? Preferably any that might earn some avios.
Thank youIt’s difficult for anyone to give advice on this as it varies in people’s circumstances, but it may be worth looking at the Nationwide Flex Plus cover. It does require you to open an account with them, but it is a pretty decent bank and for your £13/month you get the travel insurance, AA cover and other things. The price is the same for everyone, so for older people that’s a big advantage and the policy is, I think, good. Have never had to make a claim, but they are straight dealing people.
If they have any pre-existing conditions, you can usually get them covered, sometimes with a small additional premium which many other packaged policies don’t allow. You get to speak to human beings who are quite helpful as well!
