Out of pure curiosity.
What is most people’s primary method for collecting Avios and hotel points?
I expect for Avios, the majority of frequent travellers hold a BA Amex and a Barclycard Avios to collect and earn points.
For the hotel loyalty schemes either the Marriott Amex or Hilton Barclaycard.
Let’s get a discussion going as to what method frequent travellers use to maximize gaining points for the newbies around here.

If you search through the articles and threads on here (e.g. Rob’s article on how a couple can earn a 6-figure number of avios from credit card sign-ups), you’ll find loads of information.
The main thing for collecting avios is to put all your spend through the relevant cards – cancel your direct debits for anything which can be paid by card either monthly up front, such as council tax and car insurance.
For HH points I’m lucky enough to hold the Hilton Barclaycard which is closed to new applicants but the major collection routes are stays and transfers from Amex MR.
