I was idly checking Avios availability to South Africa for next winter, I don’t remember anything other than the odd JNB coming up before, amazed to find there are dates available to CPT Nov/Dec.
Just booked 12 days LHR to CPT with (new type) 2-1 voucher, 180000 points and £900.
Plenty still there but I don’t think they’ll last long!
Could be the “extra” availability unlocked by the new-style 241, which can appear at random times!
£11300 for the same booking paying cash. Unbelieveable (and non-refundable!)
Thomas Cook’s premium seats to CPT were acceptable, it’s a shame Covid took them out. Must be a good opportunity for another carrier?
