Avios points pending

Hi everyone

I took our a barclays avios plus card last month and hit the 3k spend in a few days.
My avios were paid but welcome bonus is pending for the next month.
If I cancelled now do I lose the pending avios?
Do I have to wait for another month, pay another £20 for it?
It doesn’t give me the option to downgrade to the free one

Believe me, you don’t want to have to try and deal with Barclays CS if you don’t get the avios. I think the advice in the past has been to just suck up the £20 and wait until all the avios are in your BA account before cancelling.
