Just booked PDX-SFO on Avios (15,000 and £9), but booking states no checked luggage. Am i out of date, thinking Avios rewards came with checked luggage included?

Presumably this is on AA? In which case Avios redemptions no longer include checked baggage. This stopped a few years back. You will get checked baggage if you have the relevant status.
Its on Alaska, and we’re silver, but not sure if a bag would be included as silver given it seems not included as a reward flight?
You get checked bags included as Silver on AA reward flights, can’t remember how many, possibly the Silver passenger gets 2. I think this is what we did at Xmas to Key West, checked 2 under my name as Silver then 1 under OH as Bronze.
Anyway, if you search under One World Sapphire benefits, that’s what you get as Silver. We got lounge access as well at DCA plus upgraded to AA First (like CE) so they could accommodate a standby passenger in economy.
Also got free seat selection for all 3 of us from time of booking.
