Avios to Nectar conversion Error

I’m getting the error “Unfortunately, your date of birth does not appear to be saved against your British Airways Executive Club account. Please proceed to Manage My Account and update your date of birth information.” I have set the dob in the apis section as I can’t see anywhere else in BAEC to set it. Still no luck.
log in—> My Executive Club Menu—> Update my personal information —> to go further this requires you to input your DOB, not sure what they ask for if you never added DOB in the first place—> as you say, there only seems the possibility of adding DOB in your Advanced Passenger Information section, who knows if this then becomes the same DOB bit that Nectar is looking for (?)
You could now log in again and go through the above process, see if it asks you to confirm your freshly input DOB at ‘Update my personal information’ bit.
Or unfortunately might otherwise mean a phone call.
