Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

Ok so the golden rule of points is don’t move them to the airline until you know what you want to book but…. looking on the Iberia website for Barcelona (I was surprised as I thought it would be Madrid) to Los Angeles on 30th July, but it doesn’t say how much the tax and fees are unless I have the 30,000 Avios points in my account that the flight costs.

Does anyone know? Or have enough Avios points in the Iberia account to look for me please?

    Thanks

    Hi

Adult, one way, BCN-LAX, 30 July – only shows Economy as an option, 30,000 Avios. Thought it could be a Level service, but it does say A330-200 operated by Iberia. Looking other close dates, Premium is 52,500. From a quick look around 30 July I couldn´t see any business availability.

I do believe the combine my avios is instant and reversible – best done when logged in at iberia plus. You need to have had the iberia plus account for 3 months I think, and had some prior activity, before you can combine – I think!

Thanks I saw the 30,000 but not how much the fees and taxes are. I might try and phone them.

    Sorry you wanted the taxes!……

Having clicked the 30,000 Avios it offers….

    25,000a 115.32e
    22,500a 165.32e
    17,500a 200.32e
    13,750a 240.32e
    10,000a 275.32e
    6,250a 315.32e

There isn’t actually a price for 30,000 Avios!?

Thanks! I called the customer services number but there is nobody free in the Avios department at the moment and I should call back in 20 minutes. Maybe they are having a siesta! LOL!

    Of course 😂

This is a actually a Level flight, Iberia don’t have long haul flights from BCN.

HOWEVER, this Level flight is operated by Iberia on behalf of Level (much like Finnair are running some BA flights).

So expect Level onboard service and remember Level is not part of OneWorld so any BA status won’t give you anything (I think Iberia status may give you something on an Avios flight, not sure)

    Thanks Chris.
