Hi All,
Looking at hiring a car with Avis from Faro airport through the BA holidays deal – just wanted to know if anyone had any experiences with using them at Faro? I have read mixed reviews online (but this is to be expected with car hire companies!). I am a President’s club member if that makes a difference.

I’ve used all of the main players at Faro and found little difference apart from Hertz who found a very minor ding which I missed, but that was many years ago. Avis are good but I always have my own excess insurance.
Did it last week and it was fine.
Got upgraded twice over since it was a weekend (as per the benefits).
And got a choice between 2 cars. Chose a Peugeot, was from last year but already 30k km on the clock. Awful car, but not Avis fault 🙂
Couldn’t use the app to avoid talking to a person and got an apology from the lady giving me the keys.On return, the guy was slow AF, but didn’t create any trouble about damage (I’m not 100% sure I didn’t scratch a wheel on the pavement).
