LGW has the old maid aircraft. And Club Suites is but a whisper on the wind.

Old or new, a B777 will give you a headache.

The B777s do indeed generally give one a headache, but the contrast between the ancient rattly BA ones vs the newer QR ones is extraordinary.

Flown them frequently. Not as good as newer ones with CS, but never given me a headache! Orlando is better with Virgin A350 but worse with Virgin A330 than BA.

Consider booking LHR-MIA/PHL-MCO. You’ll likely get an A380 on LHR-MIA with BA. Whilst the cabin pressure and humidity isn’t as good on a B777 as say a B787 or A350, it’s fine and millions of people travel on them every year without headaches.

Drinking too much alcohol is a much more likely cause of headaches.

I had an A380 flight and a B781 with my standard glass of red wine – result no headaches. A short flight on a B777, LHR-BOS and a glass of red wine – result headache. I’ve had so many flights on B777s and ended up with a bad headache, it really is the plane.

I do notice that the 777 is a lot noisier but I have a good pair of noise cancelling headphones so that fixes that. But I find my headache from flying comes from too much booze and/or not enough water but the main cause is a hot cabin. Which actually BA tend to keep theirs quite cool whereas QR and other Asian carriers slowly roast me to near death

But back to the OPs question , they’ve been “refreshed” so they’re in good condition but it’s the old CW seat. I believe Virgin are flying their new A330 on their Tampa route so that might be one to consider if you’re not worried on being in Oneworld etc
