Flew A321 neo last night – noticed that the first 15(?) rows have slightly different seats than those further down the cabin.
There is a pocket at the top of the seat on the front rows. I couldn’t see what else was different.
Does anyone know why this is?
Club Europe only extended to roughly the first 7-8 rows – so if you get eco seat in row 8-15, you get slightly diff seat to the rear.
I’m curious!
CE can extend back to row 14 hence the different seats. Past that they’re a slimmer lighter seat.
CE curtain is flexible (and at the moment still capped I believe) so the front rows of econ will get an “upgrade” if the curtain isn’t all the way back, with the theory being these would also be the seats any status holders would select
Yes, that’s how it works – you really want to avoid those in the back on anything over 90 minutes or so.
