I’ll be getting one of these cards now that my wife’s Gold Amex is reaching her 6k spend, but am unsure if I should wait it out for the next promo.
Nothing is certain so I’m just asking for the guesses of people with more knowledge of these things than I, but… What’s the odds of a promo in Jan?
I have bagged increased bonuses in late Oct and Feb/March in previous years – but of course no-one knows what will happen next year
Certainly wouldn’t expect anything until at least after the currently Platinum/Gold enhanced bonus ends in Jan. Possibly might only be available direct from BA, as most enhanced offers recently on BAPP have been via that route (i think at least 2/3 a year in 2023 and 2024).
I am waiting for the next offer as well. It seems like historically it is around early in the year (Jan/Feb/Mar) or the summer (Aug/Sep), but then again can be wrong. I missed out on the BAPP offer that ran from May-October this year as it was not covered by HfP – is there an alternative place to keep updated on such an offer when one appears?

It may not be covered by Rob but it would have certainly been mentioned in this forum. Keep an eye on the AMEX or BA threads and someone will be sure to have spotted it. If it was not covered by Rob; it would have most likely been a BA only offer (i.e. you had to go through BA exedc Club to get an enhanced SUB) – subscribing to BA’s marketing and comms will enable you to get updates when these promos are running
Not sure about that; Rob is pretty good on telling us of offers even if it is only via BA – of course he may give more coverage if he has a site specific link/advertising article
I guess I should have checked out the forums – I usually only glance through the 3 emails that come in every morning, but am pretty sure the last coverage of a BAPP sign up bonus bump in a main article was back in 2023. Will now keep an eye out for BAPP promotions directly from BA or the HfP formums.
Wait for the promo, I have lost count of the number of people who kick themselves for not waiting after the fact.
