Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BA Bangkok reward flights

  • 3 posts

    Hi guys,

looking to book a couple of BA reward flights from bangkok back to london. doesnt seem to be any showing up at all. Ive been checking for days and no new flights are appearing on seat spy, so checked the ba website and seems as though there are no direct cash fare prices either. I thought BA restarted the route back in March and was due to start in October/November. Does anybody know whats gone on with it? The KUL flights seem to be fine.

Doesn’t it start end of October and only run to March?

So any reward seats will have already been released and likely grabbed.

    Also isn’t it only a 3 or 4 day a week route?

Last week I was looking at taking last redemption seat in Y on several of the days before Christmas, but they all got snapped up before I was able to plan the rest of the trip

Ok I didn’t know they ended in March. That would make sense. Just re-read your article you wrote earlier this year on Ba bringing back the the route & it didn’t make mention of that. Unless I’m just blind. So apologies in advance. That’s a shame. Hopefully they bring it back. I wonder why KUL is still available

Oneworld hub, some business demand (more than Thailand I’d say), plenty of Malaysian students in UK some of the reasons. I’m also always surprised how many Brits do holiday in Malaysia – Penang, Langkawi etc . I took it a few times last time around (used to be very decent WT+ fares out of KL with no cancellation fee, not sure if still the case)and it was always full. That said it is/was very discounted in the current sale so perhaps bookings not looking as good as hoped
