Hi
Flying from Lon to Sydney via Doha. On the second leg it’s a Qatar flight but operated by Virgin Australia -QR8401. Will I get tier and avios points? I’m reading conflicting info.
Thanks
BA Club rules are very clear – for a flight with a partner flight number (not BAXXXXX), the flight must be OPERATED by a oneworld airline. No BA tier points or Avios for you, although it WILL earn in Qatar Airways Privilege Club.
If you’re not bothered about BA status just credit the whole thing to a Qatar Avios account and move the Avios to BA later.
Ah this is the complicated arrangement VA and QR have. Flight is legally operated by VA but planes and crew are actually a wet lease from QR
Since VA isn’t a one world airline no earning BA avios and TPs but you can credit to QR as they have a side agrrement with QR outwith of OW

If you were on the QR operated flight then you’d get BA points.
