BA cancelled return (BOD/LGW) 23 May – easyJet option? Bags Charge?

BA have cancelled the return (but not outbound) leg of some flights to Bordeaux in May. They are not flying that route that day and the times the day before and day after (when they do have services) are not what we want.

EasyJet has a flight at broadly the same time (EZY6452) as the cancelled BA (BA2787) one. If we book onto Easy can we reclaim the costs from BA? MMB just offers a late flight on the Tuesday or a connection via MAD on the Sunday.

We were booked in CE so we can take (and pay for) 2 suitcases on Easy and charge BA for both?

Had this experience many times. BA will most likely deny your claim and will not rebook you out of their own will, but under EU/UK261 your perfectly entitled to that and whatever extras to get business experience including a meal on flight, seat booking at the front. However, I suspect you’ll need to issue a letter before action before anything materialises with these time wasters to put it mildly.
