I have 4 flights on one booking reference. 2 out, 2 return. On the return, my dubai – Heathrow flight time has been changed to later in the day which means I will miss the connection to Edinburgh. Can BA systems not see this and rebook me on a later flight back to Edinburgh? I could understand if it were separate reservations but all on one reservation…..arrival into Heathrow at 5.40pm, leave Heathrow at 4.40pm lol
This isn’t until December so I have time to call and change etc…Give it a couple of days and it will catch up with itself.
@Sean Mc, so I will probably have another time change email for the Edinburgh flight in a few days? That would be good, save me having to phone BA….I’ll wait a few days then.
There will likely be several other schedule changes between now and December so I wouldn’t rush into making immediate decisions on which change to accept and which to try and rebook at a later point.

The way the bots work is to rebook the cancelled flight first and then take a second look slightly later to try and fix any misconnects. Yes this sometimes initially leads to some seeming stupid results but these are sorted relativly quickly.
Patience is often required and I wish more people had it and not rush in and make a bad decision that can’t be changed as soon as a cancellation email is received when if they had waited even a couple of hours (and even days) more options would be available to them.
@ChrisC I will wait and see what happens, flight not until December so still plenty of time. I was just curious to know if BA systems would pick this up….not had this happen before, only had flight changes on single flight bookings…
My flight has been changed from 10.20 to 1.35pm. However, there is another flight at 10am but I wasn’t moved to that one. I think the 10am flight is club suite, what’s my chances of changing to that flight instead? I don’t think my current booking is club suite….this is an Avios booking in business…I would still make my Edinburgh connection with the 10am flight.
