Looking at booking flights business class on BA using points (2-4-1)
Wish to travel in October , seats are available for our dates , currently it’s showing the club suite on a 777 , I know airlines often change planes however as I guess hkg is a premium route , is it likely to stay on the 777 featuring the club suite for the second week of October
The later flight each direction is the 787 with the old seats
Advise appreciated
Nothing is ever guaranteed when it comes to type of aircraft. If it sticks with a 777 then it’s pretty much certain to be CS, but as they already operate the 787 there it’s always possible they could put that on both flights. Of course some of the 787’s are also CS…
It’s got nothing to do with premium route (by whatever unspecified definition), purely a question of matching capacity to demand.
No guarantee whatsoever. I specifically booked the 777 to Tokyo this November (a ‘premium route’) and that’s been switched to a 787. The other flight that day was already a 787. Very frustrating.
I flew the old CW recently for the first time in years, and prior to the flight, I was thinking I don’t remember it being as bad as people make out on here, but having flown it again, it truly is a huge step down from CS.
Just re-affirms my decision after being downgraded from F to J on a 787 to AUH next month (due to plane swap to one without F cabin), that I asked to be re-routed to DXB to stay in F, to avoid old CW.
So hopefully you get to fly CS OP!
