How do I escape the ba.com chatbot and talk to a real person?

I’m currently on hold to BAEC and wanted to also jump on chat to see if I could speak to someone sooner.

Does anyone know how to get to a real person on chat instead of the chat bot that sends me round in circles?

I got there via check in/api/visa as they have obviously decided that one needs a human. Good luck!

Keep typing ‘speak to an agent’ and eventually it will let you join the queue. I joined at no 49 the other day after asking around 20 times. Took about 20 minutes from 49th to getting a real person.
