BA compensation – slow paying out

We had an experience when a direct flight from HOU to LHR was cancelled at short notice and replaced with an indirect flight via Charlotte.
We completed a form and BA agreed to pay £260 compensation. We have however been waiting for a month now for the money to come in – typically how long does it take BA and apart from keep ringing them, which I have done, what more can I do ?
In my own case, recently had a BA flight cancelled shortly before departure, they automatically booked me onto next available flight with capacity in same cabin which was next day.
My compensation claim was submitted upon my return to UK, on 6 July, with BA accepting the claim on 8 July and credited to my bank account on 11 July.
During the same trip I also had an Air France flight cancelled, claim submitted 6 July and acceptance from AF on 8 July (same as BA) and the money took a bit longer into my EUR account, that arrived 15 July.
If BA have your bank details as part of the claim, there is no reason the money should not have been credited to your bank account within a few days of them accepting the claim, certainly a month is way too long.
BA have a form you can chase up but this is basic and provides limited information; I would expect phoning as you say you have done, otherwise you could try getting in touch via DM on X or Facebook since phone is not getting the right results.
I’m similar to Ewan. Flight cancelled saturday 13th, claimed Sunday 14th, Agreed Tuesday 16th and cash Wednesday 17th. Lot smoother than i was expecting.
How on Earth are you guys having it paid out so fast?
I filed a claim on 9th July and have not heard anything. Didn’t expect to hear anything for quite a while tbh.
