Forums Other Flight changes and cancellations help BA complaints website down?

  • 3 posts

Anyone else struggling to reply to or update their complaints on the BA website?

They’ve refused to pay out-of-pocket replacement flights after the half-term cancellation debacle, but are paying out-of-pocket food/taxi etc and EU261 compensation.

Anyway, trying to explain their Article 8 obligations to re-route but I can’t even reply to their denials as the form won’t work.

I get the following error: “403 error – You don’t have enough permissions to proceed further” which Microsoft Edge strangely offers to translate from German for me. Same error message when submitting on safari from my iphone

Seems like my only option might be snail mail…

Any one else having any success or experiencing something similar? Or got a direct e-mail for someone in customer services?

    Thanks

My recently submitted online complaint has been totally ignored. Ignored in a way which makes me think it was never received or processed at all (no tracking number).

Yesterday I dropped a hard-copy letter before action off at Waterside. I know the BA back end IT is a shambles but online issue tracking/case management systems are a solved problem. What on earth are they doing?

I put in a complaint last week about our experience in CW from BOS-LHR. I’ve not had any response whatsoever but this morning I noticed that 10k avios had dropped into both our BAEC accounts, labelled “service recovery”. They don’t relate to anything else so I’m assuming it’s compo for our miserable cheese croissants!

I put in a complaint in January and they closed it yesterday giving me a £100 off a £450 spend voucher without even dealing with the complaint

I submitted a complaint in mid Feb. Gave me a reference number and by mid march I used the reference number to give them a nudge into responding. Still waiting. They are incompetent and a national embarrassemnt.

Are you using a VPN? I get that message quite often, even from the home page. Usually, changing VPN server, or temporarily switching it off altogether, does the trick (for me, anyway – YMMV of course). Annoying to have to though.

Might have covered the cheee croissants, but does not cover the humuiliation Anna.

As and when they deign to get in touch with you, remind them this a longhaul flight on which all three of you were starved and humiliated, not a short haul flight on which 10,000 might just about be worth considering but as it was a long haul flight you’d think 25,000 more appropriate as 10k just about covers nonworking seat entertainment without being humiliated.
